Boyhood neighbors Mike Parker (left) and Gary Anderson (right) paint a small shed together. Both grinning boys wear rimmed caps, and have one hand on the hip as the other hand paints. Anderson's house can be seen in the back left corner of the photograph.
Gary was born to Darwin and Edith Anderson. The family, which included another son Neal and daughter Beth, lived on 10th Avenue.
Mike Parker was born to Virgil and Hazelle (Yenter) Parker. The family, which included another son Mark (b. 1954) and daughters Janet (b.1961) and Susan (b. 1965), lived in 708 9th Avenue (Parker).
