Trail restoration near CRANDIC Park, December 2020
Dublin Core
Description
A project to restore a trail between Iowa City and Coralville that was washed out during the 2008 flood.
Text from post:
The sheet piling installation is complete on the Iowa River Trail segment near CRANDIC Park in Iowa City to the mouth of Clear Creek in Coralville. This month, we will also see pile driving and wall caps being formed. We're very excited to make progress toward replacing this segment of trail lost in the 2008 floods. Trail users will be able to use this trail to traverse from Rocky Shore Drive to the north side of Clear Creek. This provides a connection north to Iowa River Landing and west to Clear Creek Trail. Late summer 2021 is the anticipated completion timeframe.
