Description
C.F. (Fred) Robinson served Coralville as a Town Marshal and as a Town Councilman. When Mayor Edward Koser died in office in 1935, Robinson was appointed the twelfth Mayor of Coralville. While he was elected as mayor for the 1936 term, he resigned on August 15 to move to Iowa City. He was employed by the University of Iowa as a power engineer.
Robinson was born February 1, 1875 in Coralville, Iowa to Charles Edwin and Nancy (Wilton) Robinson. On May 15, 1902, he married Edith Mae Francis. Together they had five children (Lovetinsky et al., p. 77).
