Friends of the Coralville Public Library

The Friends of the Coralville Public Library is a non-profit organization interested in the promotion of good library service. The Friends support the Library through fundraising activities, their volunteer hours in the Library, and efforts to stimulate public support and use of the Library. The group was founded in 1981, and currently has more than one hundred members.

Some of the gifts that the Friends have donated to the Library include: a conference table with chairs, plants for the new library building, and microwave oven for the staff lounge. This year the Friends donated a videocassette player for public use, a typewriter stand, and a coffee maker for the auditorium. Some members also donate their time to assist in special programs or help with daily Library tasks.

This year's officers of the Friends are: Judy Steciw, president; Liz Hooley, vice president; Connie Jones, secretary; Helen Bundy, treasurer; Mildred Bidlack, membership; Sandy Herwig, publicity; Marilyn Meade and Lois Aubrecht, special events; and Sharon Stubbs, volunteers.
