The Clarksville Lodge was organized by Dr. W. B. Kennedy, Arnold Zajicek, and Dr. W. W. Morris. The first meeting was at the Carousel Restaurant on February 7, 1968; meetings afterward took place in the fire station (Lovetinsky et al., p. 74-75).
Since then, the Freemasons have been involved with cornerstone laying ceremonies for many Coralville buildings, including the library, fire station, the recreation center, the performing arts ceremony, and more (Walch, p. 108).
